Run your day in six steps
Sign in, set up your routes, optimize, approve. Takes a couple of minutes - no phone call needed.
The daily routine
Sign in
Go to your RugRoutes link and sign in. You’ll land on today’s jobs, pulled live from Jobber.
Set up today's routes
In the Today’s routes card, build the routes you’re running. Each one carries its own start time, its depot, and the driver or drivers working it. New route adds another.
Review the stop list
The Stops card lists everything scheduled for the day. Use the checkbox at the top to select or deselect all at once, or uncheck stops individually. Completed jobs are excluded automatically.
Optimize
Click Optimize. It takes a few seconds to a couple of minutes depending on how many stops are in play - each route comes back with its own ordered stop list, shown in the list and on the map.
A stop that couldn’t be scheduled appears in a warning list with the reason, and - if it has a usable address - a way to add it to a route anyway.
The Stops card keeps a running count of the optimize runs you’ve used this month.
Adjust if needed
Drag a stop to reorder it or move it to a different route - ETAs, drive time, and mileage recalculate automatically, no need to re-optimize.
A stop the plan can’t reach in time is flagged on its card, whether that’s a customer’s arrival window or a time already committed in Jobber.
Reset to optimized puts a route back the way Optimize built it.
Approve
Click Approve to write the schedule back into Jobber for real. You’ll see a live count of stops written back; if any fail, Retry fixes just those without redoing the plan.
If something changes mid-day
If a job changes in Jobber after you’ve approved, a banner tells you how many - click Optimize to re-plan just what’s left.
If something looks wrong
Four things account for nearly everything that goes sideways.
“Jobber connection needs attention”
Go to Settings and reconnect. Nothing else will work until this is fixed.
A stop shows “Address not found”
If the item has no address in Jobber, an input appears on the stop where you can type one in - used for routing only, never sent to Jobber.
A job is missing or in the wrong spot
Jobs are pulled live from Jobber, so check the job itself first - address, time, custom fields.
