Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how RugRoutes (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service, as defined in our Terms of Service.

From your Jobber account - once you connect Jobber, we read scheduled jobs, visits, tasks, and requests, including customer names and addresses, scheduled times, team member assignments, and job-level custom fields (e.g. Stop Type, duration, rug count) needed to plan and optimize routes.

Account information - your name and email address, via our authentication provider (Clerk), when you sign up and sign in.

Data we generate - geocoded coordinates for addresses, optimized route plans, and approved routes with their write-back status, stored so you can review, adjust, and re-run them.

Usage and error data - basic technical information (e.g. error reports, request metadata) collected automatically to keep the Service reliable.

We use this information solely to provide the Service: planning and optimizing routes, displaying your day’s schedule, writing approved changes back to Jobber, and diagnosing problems. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell it.

We share data with the third-party services that make the Service work, each only to the extent needed for their function:

• Jobber - the source of your job data, and the destination for schedule changes you approve.
• Google Maps Platform - receives addresses and coordinates to geocode locations and compute optimized routes.
• Clerk - handles authentication and account sign-in.
• Neon and Vercel - host our database and application infrastructure.
• Inngest - runs background processing for route optimization and write-back.
• Sentry - error monitoring, to help us catch and fix problems.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We retain your account and Jobber-derived data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for support and record-keeping. Disconnecting Jobber immediately revokes our ongoing access but does not automatically delete historical route and optimization records - contact us (below) to request deletion of your account data.

Jobber access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and never stored in plain text. Data belonging to different customers is isolated at the database query level, enforced in code, not just convention. All traffic to and from the Service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

You can disconnect your Jobber account at any time from Settings, which revokes our access immediately. To request a copy or deletion of your data, contact us below.

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16.

The Service is currently offered in a pilot phase. As it evolves - including toward paid subscription plans - this Policy may be updated to reflect new features or data practices.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice, and the “Effective date” above will be updated.
